Lab Values Interpretation Resources--Update 2012 now available
The Acute Care Section's Task Force on Lab Values created a resource document to guide members' use of lab values in acute care physical therapy practice. This resource was updated in 2012 to reflect new and emerging research related to lab values and physical therapy intervention. This document contains references, textbooks, websites, search engines, professional discussion tips, and three full-text copies recent Acute Care Perspectives and Journal of Acute Care Physical Therapy articles pertinent to the interpretation of lab values in acute care physical therapy practice.
Coming later in 2012, via APTA's Learning Center, a lab values course using this resource and allowing participants to apply these principles to patient cases. CEUs will be available for participants who sign up for this online learning course and successfully complete the post-assessment. Watch this space for more details when this course launches!
